Irritability and Overwhelm
You feel like the person who snaps. This is the work of understanding the overflow underneath the temper, and giving the pressure somewhere to go before it spills.
Something small lands, a tone, a mess, one more request, and you go off in a way that's bigger than the moment deserves. A second later you can see it was too much, and the shame arrives, and you promise yourself you'll do better, and then it happens again. From the outside it looks like a temper problem. From the inside it feels like you're carrying something at full capacity all the time, and the snapping is just the last drop landing in a glass that was already full. You're not a mean person. You're an overfull one.
The snap is not really about the thing that triggered it. It's the discharge of a system that had no other release, and once you see that, the whole problem moves to a place you can actually work with.
What’s actually happening
Irritability is often anxiety and overwhelm wearing a different face. When your system is carrying more than it can hold, unspoken stress, unmet needs, a nervous system already near its ceiling, there's very little headroom left, so a minor trigger tips the whole thing over and the pressure discharges as a snap. The target of the snap is rarely the real cause; it's just what happened to land last. Trying to control the temper at the moment of the snap almost never works, because by then the glass is already overflowing. The work is upstream: to notice the filling, to give the pressure a release before it reaches the top, and to meet the anxiety underneath so the whole system runs with more room in it.
The Overflow Kit
This is the guided intervention for irritability and snapping. It helps you see the overflow underneath the temper, notice the filling before it spills, and give the pressure somewhere to go. Includes a private audio walkthrough recorded by Lisa.
The next step
The kit this one connects to is The Signal Kit, because the overflow is usually anxiety looking for a release, and Signal meets that anxiety at its root.
The Downloadable Care Guide
This is a practical visual companion that reinforces the work and keeps the practices within reach in everyday life. It's an instant download from craftyourwellness.com.
How the work is built
Start with The Overflow Kit. If the irritability sits on top of a broader baseline anxiety, The Signal Kit is the root beneath it. Not sure? The free assessment will point you. Take the free assessment →
