Alcohol
You drink more than you mean to, and you can't entirely explain why. This is the work of seeing plainly what the drinking is doing, and building a real plan for getting free.
It rarely announces itself. The number of nights crept up. The glass got taller. You've started keeping a quiet count in your head and then talking yourself out of it. You can stop for a while, which feels like proof it's fine, and then you're back, a little further along than before. You're not looking for a lecture or a label. You want to understand what alcohol is actually doing for you and to you, honestly, without the shame that makes the whole subject impossible to look at directly.
That honesty is the beginning, and it's more useful than any verdict about whether you qualify for a word. The relationship has changed, you can feel it, and you get to decide what happens next with clear eyes.
What’s actually happening
Alcohol works because it does something for you, at least at first: it quiets a state you didn't have another way to quiet. The trouble is that the relief is borrowed, and the nervous system adjusts, so over time you need more to reach the same quiet and you feel worse in between. What looked like a choice becomes a cycle with its own physics. Seeing the cycle plainly, what it soothes, what it costs, and where you actually sit inside it, is what makes a real plan possible, instead of another round of willpower that runs out. None of this is a character flaw. It's a mechanism, and mechanisms can be worked with.
The Alcohol Kit
This is the guided intervention for seeing what the drinking is doing and building a plan for getting free. It helps you take an honest accounting, map where you sit inside the cycle, and move forward one honest day at a time. Includes a private audio walkthrough recorded by Lisa.
The next step
When this kit has done its first work, the one that most often follows it is The Relapse Prevention Kit, for learning the shape of your own process so a hard day stays a hard day.
The Downloadable Care Guide
This is a practical visual companion that reinforces the work and helps you carry the practices into everyday life after you've been through the kit. It's an instant download from craftyourwellness.com.
